Authors & Publishers

I currently have a number of spots available for author interviews and guest posts.

If you have a book you feel would be a good fit for such a post here at Bart’s Bookshelf, then just let me know. I would love to hear from you!

Author interviews and guest posts will always be featured heavily on my front page, where the latest five articles are shown in a repeating sideshow, ensuring that you receive ongoing promotion way beyond the original posting date!

I’m also more than happy to accept review copies and catalogues from authors and publishers (it may be worth your while taking the time to glance through my review category which should give you some idea of the books I enjoy reading and therefore more likely to spend time reviewing).

I am selective about the titles I accept (there are too many great books out there to read!) and I would not want to waste your time and money by accepting a book just because you are offering it.

Time constraints do mean I may not respond to each offer individually or as quickly as I would like, if you don’t hear back from me this time, it does not mean I may not be interested in alternative title in the future, so don’t hesitate to contact me again if you have one that you think I may be interested in. (A note about formats: I don’t have ready access to an e-reader device, so I regret I cannot accept electronic copies for review.)

Disclaimer: My acceptance of a review copy does not guarantee that I will write a review. Bart’s Bookshelf, is my hobby – and while it’s most certainly a fun one, I don’t even review every book I read simply for my own pleasure. However, if you have been good enough to give me a book and I’ve finished it, then be assured I will always do my best to get a timely review up and as close to any relevant publication schedules as I can manage.

For review copies, I will always include a book cover image, a link to author website, a link to purchase your book (normally via: The Book Depository), any preferred synopsis, author bio, and my personal thoughts about the book in each review. (if you would like a link to any other sources, Twitter, Facebook etc.) then just let me know and in most cases I’ll be more than happy to accommodate.

As noted above I will always try and keep to any preferred dates, whilst reading and reviewing, but real life and an ever groaning TBR shelf , means I can make no promises, if this is important to you, please make it clear in your initial contact. The only exception to this rule is for blog tours and interviews, where a review is to be posted alongside.

This blog regularly receives 5500+ visitors a month (with close to 10,000 page views) and all reviews are also linked to on Twitter, Facebook and FriendFeed.

If you are wanting to send me a book for review, please be aware that I’m a UK based blogger, I know postage costs can be an issue so I thought it only right to make you aware of this up front.
