Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I’d Love To See As Movies/TV Shows

This weeks Top Ten Tuesday is all about the books we’d love to see as film or TV adaptions, I had great fun choosing these, and would love to know what you think of my selection, and which ones would most excite you to see?

Steelheat Sanderson

Get Joss Whedon in to write the script and direct, throw a massive budget at it, could be an epic! 😉

Night Circus

Can you imagine how good this might be?

Airships! Parallel worlds! Action! What’s not to love?

scorpio races

If they could capture Thisby, and the main character’s connection to their charges, this would already be a great film, then add the actual races…

Great Christmas movie don’t you think? Especially if they allow New York to be the third main character.

It was between this and Nation, I’d love to see them both, but I reckon this one would be the easier pitch.

Rivers of London

Would make a cracking series (in the mould of Sherlock’s mini runs) Detective stories always do well on the TV anyway, and I reckon the mix of procedural, London, and magic would be a winner.

Three books I reckon would make fantastic ‘indie’ movies. (Big stars and budgets would take something away I feel).

Steelheart would be great! With its popularity a cinema version isn’t out of the realm of possibilities.

    Adorable format of the post.

I haven’t read any of these! They all look really interesting though, so I’ll have to check them out. And kudos on the cool graphics for this. 🙂

Love your cinematic touches here! I know there was talk about Scorpio Races getting the movie treatment but I don’t know if that’s going forward. Ari & Dante and Simon would be amazing! Well done 🙂

I think, I’m not sure, that Eleanor and Park is going to be a movie or there is at least a screen play adaptation that could possibly be a movie. So thats pretty cool. I love the images you used for this post! They are so cool. I Love Scorpio Races! It’s such a great novel.

I’ve only read three of these (The Scorpio Races, Dash & Lily, and Aristotle & Dante), but I agree, oh about 110%, with what you had to say about them!

Brandon Sanderson with Joss Whedon writing and directing? Count me in!

Dash and Lily would be a PERFECT Christmas/New Year movie. I can just imagine being snuggled on my couch in front of the fire with a big mug of hot chocolate watching this 🙂
I also really like the final three on your list. I haven’t read Simon Vs The Homosapiens Agenda yet, but have heard such great things!
Great list this week, happy reading 🙂

Ahh!! I LOVE how you’ve done the visuals for this. xD AND YES YES please to E&P and also The Scorpio Races. I think it’d be epic, especially the island. Zomg, I want to go to Thisby so badly. XD
