About the Book

Lexi Angelo has grown up helping her dad with his events business. She likes to stay behind the scenes, planning and organizing…until author Aidan Green – messy haired and annoyingly arrogant – arrives unannounced at the first event of the year. Then Lexi’s life is thrown into disarray.

In a flurry of late-night conversations, mixed messages and butterflies, Lexi discovers that some things can’t be planned. Things like falling in love…

It is an indication of how much I enjoyed this book, that I bought, started, and finished it in the same day. Something I’ve not done in years.

So, yeah. I went into town to post something on Saturday, and nipped into my local Waterstones while was there and bought this one, along with Ink by Alice Broadway.

Whilst the romance was sweet and enjoyable to watch develop. (Lexi and Aiden are both really likable characters). The real fun for me, and what made me devour the book was the action in the backrooms of the conventions.

Watching the gang meet up and organise each event, was such a joy! They are a brilliant group of people who have known each other for years. This comes across so well in the way they interact with each other. They also clearly love what they do. This adds even more to the enjoyment of the book.

Unconventional is a really fun, geeky, read. You’ll  want to sign up for a convention as soon (or probably during!) as you finish the book. And you’ll be rooting for Aiden and Lexi from the start.
