So, yesterday I wrapped up June, now at halfway though the year it’s time to take stock of the year so far.
I set myself a target of 125 books for the year, and mainly thanks to a couple of really big reading months at the start of the year, I’m well on target with 71** books read in the period January to June.
** I probably should comment here that I have also read a lot of shorter books, novellas and novelettes, so some might count them or at least group some of the series ones together, but hey, if it’s issued as a ‘separate’ book, I feel it’s ok to count it!
Here’s how it breaks down:
- January: 13 Books
- February: 19 Books
- March: 13 Books
- April: 10 Books
- May: 9 Books
- June: 7 Books

While they didn’t make the final choice for my ‘Read of the Month’ there were a few books each month that made the decision very difficult, so I thought I’d list them here:
Unravelling by Elizabeth Norriss, Wintercraft: Legacy by Jenna Burtenhaw, Callum and Harper by Fischer Amelie, The 13th Horseman by Barry Hutchison, Sophie & Carter by Chelsea Fine, Goliath by Tom Gauld, The Blade Series by Tim Bowler, Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver and Fracture by Megan Miranda.
How’s your reading year going?
