Wow, I can think of a number of shops that I wished would have something like this! Thanks for sharing.

So could I. :) But I think a book shop by a river is nearly as good a spot as you could hope for!

Ha! A seaside retreat right there in the middle of the city. What fun.

    Here’s mine: http://desktopretreat.blogspot.com/2011/06/saturday-snapshot_11.html

Love the perspective of this shot. How fun to come across an outdoor installation.

It was a gorgeous day as well, so it was a perfect thing to come across.

Thanks. I was actually using the back as a spot to steady myself for a different shot altogether, and happened to look down and thought it’d make a cracking shot. I’m pleased with how it came out.

It almost looks like a big slippery dip of a chair. Inviting us to slide and sit at the same time.

Ahhh, my kind of chair. Now all it needs is a book and an ice tea.

Sounds perfect. I’m just glad I didn’t have to put it up!

I love the idea of a fake beach! I’m impressed that you didn’t buy anything at the bookstore – I think that takes an iron will. :)

Well, that and I’d spent a load in a different branch of Foyles (and Forbidden Planet) the day before!

Wonderful photo! I love the colors and the clean lines. And, it looks like London is sunny (my brother lives there) while southern California is drippy wet.

    Hi!
Looks like a really comfy spot to read a book. Too bad you didn’t buy any that day. Have a great day!

Wow, the colors are just gorgeous! I can’t believe you didn’t buy anything in Foyle’s. You are so good. They are book heaven. I think I bought something every time I went into Foyle’s, last year, but I was on vacation so . . . (excuses, excuses).
