Bands not Books: The Sisters of Mercy

So, on Thursday next week, I’m putting down my books and blog for the night and heading in to Leeds to go to a gig. Bands not Books: The Sisters of Mercy One of my favourite bands is playing in town. The Sisters of Mercy are one of the first bands I went to see live, way back in 1992! The concert this time around is to celebrate their 30th anniversary, and is being held in the university venue they played their first gigs at.

Even better, because it’s on a ‘school night’ I’ve booked the following day off work. (Because I’m slightly older than I was back in 92′ and going into work the next day with only a few hours sleep won’t be quite as easy!)

  1. One of my favorite bands, too!!! I listened to them all the time in the late 80s when I was in college.

The line-up will probably be a bit different, Mr Eldritch has been known to fall out with his fellow band mates occasionally! ;)
