IMM: Almost…

I was doing so well, no books entered the house until Friday and then…

IMM: Almost... IMM: Almost... IMM: Almost... IMM: Almost...

If I Stay by Gayle Forman: Totally Lenore’s fault this one, she posted a link to her review of this one this last week and when I was idly browsing the Kindle App/Store on my phone Friday lunchtime at work I spotted this one, and ended up buying it. I’ve read it already and it was completely worth it. Bad Bloggers point to Lenore.

Brothers by Ted van Lieshout: Made the mistake again this week of popping into my local Oxfam… Spotted this one which told from the perspective of surviving brother who ‘talks’ to his dead sibling by writing in his diary. A powerful story of being a brother.

The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie: Just bought it because, I’ve heard of it. Never read it. And it’s quite a slim read.

The Familiars by Andrew Jacobson and Adam Jay Epstein: Received from the publisher for review purposes.

I suppose I ought to wait until you review The Familiars to see if I should add it to my wish list, but that cover is so cute I frivolously want to add now. Brothers is definitely being added immediately.

The UK cover looks pretty cool as well, couldn’t find an image online of it though. (Mine’s an ARC so just has text on it) Brothers was really good, a review will be forthcoming. :)

If I Stay is actually the only book I got this week. It’s my first new acquisition in probably a week and a half or more (making me feel proud of myself for abstaining so long and also terribly bereft because I really missed getting books for just that week and a half!). Either way, I keep hearing such good things about it and it’s forthcoming sequel that I’m happy that it broke up my book drought.

I’m glad you enjoyed If I Stay. I reviewed it for the Transworld Summer Reading Challenge in July and enjoyed it too. :)

Great picks and totally worth it – I especially love the cover of Miss Jean Brodie!

Well, I see a big point coming your way for Brothers!! That sounds like a fantastic book!

Hooray for bad blogger Lenore! I enjoyed If I Stay a great deal as well. The follow up “Where She Went” is releasing in the States in April. I’m quite excited to read it.

I am currently reading The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. I am having mixed feelings thus far but only had a chance to read about half of it last night before I fell asleep. It could definitely be read in one sitting.
