Sunday Salon: Three Quarters of a Whole
Welcome Sunday Saloners, here’s hoping you Sunday is a cosy and relaxing one!
Reading plans for today include spending some quality time with #TKONLG (The Knife of Never Letting go by Patrick Ness, for those not on twitter!), which so far (251 pages in) is living up to the billing, that Nymeth and Chris, amongst others have been giving it recently.
Have to say though, my sense of dread is increasing exponentially with each page I turn, something really bad is about to happen, I just know it!
Next up on the pile, hasn’t yet been decided but is likely to be something suitable for the RIP IV challenge, but as we head into the final quarter of the year, my attention is turning to completing my other outstanding reading challenges as well, so if I can pick a book that fits more than one challenge then that is going to count for a lot!
- Decades ‘09 – 5/9
- 9 for ‘09 – 4/09
- Lost in Translation – 4/6
- Graphic Novel Challenge – 8/12
- New Authors Challenge – 45/50
- World Citizen Challenge – 0/5

In other news, the 27th Bookworm’s Carnival is up, go visit Alyce from At Home With Books, to see a fantastically presented list of books and reviews!

Glad you are enjoying TKONLG! I just got the sequel in the mail the other day and I am looking forward to reading it.

Kailana´s last blog ..Sunday Book Coveting – What to Buy!
I’ve just reserved the sequel from the library!
Seeing all these bloggers rave about TKONLG is really making me want to read it! I’ve got about sixteen books I want to read “first” after I achieve my TBR Goals for the year and start buying random stuff again, but I think that one’s going to have to be first among the firsts.
Good luck with your challenges! I’ve been focusing in on mine, too. It feels like the year is almost over!
Memory´s last blog ..The Sunday Salon: Playing Favourites
It’s well worth skipping it up the queue!
I saw on Twitter that you finally got to “the part”
Oh it was so terrible
I can’t believe that I haven’t started The Ask and The Answer yet!!
Chris´s last blog ..I Can Haz New House?
I finished the book earlier this evening, absolutely fantastic read! (and yes, as I’ve just replied to Kelly, I’ve ordered The Ask and the Answer from the library! Should be starting it next week.
Thanks for linking to the carnival!
Alyce´s last blog ..Book Review Blog Carnival #27
No problem!
I’ve heard so many great things about this book (not to mention raves from Nymeth!!) so this will be on my top 20 TBR list, hehe.
Melody´s last blog ..Mailbox Monday
It really is very good! You can trust us!
I just acquired The Knife of Never Letting Go! Strangely, my libraries didn’t have it, but they did have The Ask and the Answer, so I hope I won’t have to wait too long to get that as well. TKONLG is going to be read this week I think.
Meghan´s last blog ..Review: The Lace Makers of Glenmara, Heather Barbieri
You definitely won’t want to wait too long, one you have finished TKONLG!
