Those are all new to me too….except for OSC :p I’ve been reading him for a little while now :p My favorite author that I discovered through blogging has to be Charles de Lint! I don’t even remember who introduced me to him (maybe Carl?) but I can’t thank that person enough!!

Right now I am all about Patrick Ness, but also Douglas Coupland, Shirley Jackson (I mean I knew about her – but book blogs were the reason I read her books) and most definitely Sarah Waters. And others – those are just my most best favorites.

John Scalzi comes to mind. Oh, and The Thirteenth Tale. That’s a good example for me. What typically happens (for me) is that it is through book challenges that I come to discover new-to-me authors. Especially Carl’s challenges. I start looking at other people’s “pools” — they don’t even have to be book reviews, and before I know it, I’ve got thirty books checked out from the library based on me envying other people’s books.

Great question! Let’s see… Kristin Cashore is a big one, as is Ellen Booraem. (I can’t wait for her next book!) John Scalzi was already on my radar, but bloggers piqued my interest in his work. I read Juliet Marillier, Donna Tartt, Anne Bishop and Glen David Gold due to bloggers’ recommendations, and I loved the lot.

Other great authors I’ve “met” through blogging include Tom Holland, Martin Millar, James Bow, Mary Ann Schaffer & Annie Barrows, John Green, and Michelle Scott.
