I read this book this summer for school and i was not so excited about it at first. I don’t like reading at all but i had to. I loved this book though! i couldn’t put it down. You just keep wanting to know what happens next. It’s a little slow in the beginning but toward the end it gets so good. I definitely recommend this book. If you haven’t read it you should!

You’re right of course, it is perfectly written for the age group, it’s just a feeling it could have been one of those really stunning books, had it been a bit more in depth.

My younger son read this series in grade 5 and loved it. I read this first one and thought it was perfect for that age (9-11) Great choice of reading for when kids are getting into more complex plots.

Same here, I would’ve liked this book to be a little bit older, but at the same time, I think it was written just perfectly for the age group that she intended it! I have the second one sitting here on my shelf and I really need to get to it after that cliffhanger ending!

I have read one of her books, but not this one. I enjoyed the book well enough, but I am not a huge fan.
