Sunday Salon: Selected Works
Welcome Sunday Saloners!
This week ended up being a fairly decent reading wee – even if all the books I read weren’t perfect – I managed to finish off four books!
- Hey Nostradamus by Douglas Coupland
- Up a Tree in the Park at Night with a Hedgehog by P. Robert Smith
- Gold by Dan Rhodes
- Sweethearts by Sarah Zarr
I read the first chapter of One Day, the new book by David Nicholls, before I got up for the day, but for my main reading today I’m planning to finally get around to starting The Selected Works of TS Spivet by Reif Larson, which I bought a month or so back, because it just utterly entranced me with its gorgeousness from the moment I picked it up in the shop, but for whatever reason I’ve never got around to reading it.
So those are my plans, what are yours?
The Sunday Salon, is hosted by Debra Hamel of The DebLog.

I’ll probably finish Adichie’s new short story collection (The Thing Around My Neck) and A Golden Age (which is a great Bangladeshi novel!), I’m in the middle of Ghost Hunters (an awesome nf book about scientists studying spiritualism during turn-of-the-centery) and Oaxaca Journal (a travelogue by Oliver Sacks, who I love). Since I’ll probably finish up my fiction reads quickly, I’m trying to decide which of my old favourites to reread first!
I hope the book you start lives up to your expectations!
