Book Quiz! (Weekly Geeks: 27/06/09)
This weeks Weekly Geeks, is all about trivia!
Put books and trivia together and you’ve got a perfect match. So I thought it would be a fun Weekly Geek activity for us to come up with some book trivia questions to ask each other.
I’ve gone for a YA theme, with my questions.
- In book version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, what are Ravenclaws house colours?
- What is the name of the little girl (the living one) who befriends Bod in The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman?
- In the His Dark Materials Trilogy, what is Pantalaimon’s (Lyra’s Daemon) final form?
- In Skellig by David Almond, what is the name of the girl who befriends Michael?
- Who are: Miss Miriam Forcible, Miss April Spink, & Mr Bobo?
- Who is the last contestant to die, before Katniss & Peeta finally win The Hunger Games?
- What is the name of the shipwreck, in Nation by Terry Pratchett?
- What are the names of Daisy’s cousins in How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff?
- What is the name of Sam’s girlfriend in Nick Hornby’s, Slam?
- What is the name of the University, Claire Danvers attends in the Morganville Vampire books?

I only even possibly know about half of the answers, so I’m just going to watch.
I’m so bad at book trivia! I once knew the answer to each of three of those questions, but the only one I can even hazard a guess at is Ravenclaw’s colors. Blue and white?

I haven´t read YA for a generation – apart from Harry Potter – but I can´t remember the colours of Ravenclaw.

This is bad!! So bad!!! I don’t know a single answer!! And I know that I do know them, but can’t think of them off the top of my head :p Like I seriously can’t believe I can’t think of Bod’s friend’s name, the ship that wrecked in Nation, Who dies before Katniss and Peeta and the name of Claire’s university…I should know all of those! Grrr…I have my own questions scheduled to post tomorrow…I came up with 30 freaking questions, lol…I just couldn’t stop.
