February Search Terms
Inspired by Maw, I thought I’d have a quick trawl through my stats and see if there were any interesting or amusing keywords and search terms that brought visitors to my site, this past month.
- about the setting in hugo cabret
Paris, 1931. Brian Selznick’s own site is a fantastic resource. - “it’s only half an hour since someone”
Last visited this site? Made a cup of tea? Mentioned what a wonderful person you are? (and you most certainly are dear visitor!) or more likely the opening line to the fantastic, Tomorrow Series, by John Marsden. - “kick arse books” 2009
Is that a new publisher?
- are cherub books suitable
Kitchen tables? No. Fish Tanks? No. Books for middle teens? Probably. - awards of digital fortress novel
Oh god, I hope not! - bad library
an empty one. - best young adult book 2009
It’s a little early for that, but in the UK at least I suspect The Hunger Games will feature strongly. - buy d.j.machale
I’m not sure you can, but you can certainly buy his books! For example, you can snap up the soon to be released, Soldiers of Halla, from: Amazon (UK) or Amazon (US) - gothic novels set in WWI
The Foreshadowing by Marcus Sedgwick is a fine example, you can see my thoughts on it, here. - houses for a £1
Look I know the economy is shot to pieces but, err wow you’re hopeful! - i think john marsden’s tomorrow series should be made into movies
You do? I think a good lavishly made mini-series might work better. - james muchamore
I suspect your looking for James Adams, star of the CHERUB books, by Robert Muchamore! - main points in river boy- tim bowler
Well, one of the main points, is to do the assignments your hardworking teachers give you, and, well, you know, like, actually read the book and then – this is the good bit – work these things out for yourself, which funnily enough is one of the reasons to read a book in the first place. - parasites listed in peeps by scott westerfeld
Skin crawlingly creepy ones mostly! - summary of short stories
Um… ones that aren’t long? - tenth pendragon book cover
It’s a cracker! And you can see it in my post, here. - what is the name of cal’s cat in peeps
Not a clue! Anybody else know? Nymeth, have you any ideas?
ETA: Thanks Nymeth! Cal’s cat is called Cornelius. - when is the book the brass key coming out
It’s out, as is the sequel. You can read my review here. - why didn’t suzi dougherty read the the ellie chronicles
Well, she did read While I Live, but I concur whole heartedly! She is much more my Ellie than Mikaela Martin could ever be. Sadly I suspect it came down to availability and contractual reasons.

It’s Cornelius.
And “Kick Arse Books” would no doubt be an amazing publisher
Well, remembered!
I’d returned my copy to the library, so could not check.
And, yes, Kick Ass Books would be a fantastic publisher.
are cherub books suitable
Kitchen tables?
Well, if you had enough of them (and some glue), you could probably cobble together something suitable.
