Nope, never managed to finish the thing. Each time I try, I race past the half-way stage or so, put it down for a day or two, and then never get back into it.
oh, and you obviously read the post before I realised I’d left one of Eva’s answers in when I cut and pasted the questions.
I tried to read The Book Thief last year and couldn’t get into it.

And I’ve only read Last Chance to See once so far, but it’s definitely one I’ll be re-reading.
Also, Katherines! I read Paper Towns yesterday. And as a result I could barely read at all today. It was so good I need time to recover.

I haven’t even finished The Hobbit yet…so don’t feel bad…I have a TBR stack entirely dedicated to Tolkien.
I am exhilarated to learn that Five On A treasure Island was the first book you bought with your own hard won money. Unfortunately, I cannot, for sure remember what exact book I first bought with my own money. However, I can remember that Five on A Treasure Island was the last book I read in The Famous Five series as a child. Ironic, Isn’t it. Nonetheless, fast foward to the present, as a result of my affection for Enid Blyton and her books, I decided later in life to write and publish a book on her, titled, The Famous Five: A Personal Anecdotage (www.thefamousfiveapersonalanecdotage.blogspot.com).
