Many thanks to my wonderful, fantastic, and very kind, Secret Santa, Jean Pierre, who upon learning his original gift had never arrived, (and was completely unaware initially as I had treated myself to the same book around the same time as he had posted it, and it appeared in one of my Mailbox Mondays posts!)  immediately volunteered to send another one. Which arrived today!

  

Absolutely perfect, I enjoyed Old Man’s War a great deal and I am very much looking forward to reading them, so much so in fact (and in an almost spooky proof that Jean Pierre is a mind reader considering the almost snap of the original gift, I was considering treating myself to The Ghost Brigades at the weekend anyway!) it has completely changed my reading plans for the next couple of weeks.
