Booking Through Thursday: Other Worlds

Suggested by Miko

Are there any particular worlds in books where you’d like to live?

Or where you certainly would NOT want to live?

What about authors? If you were a character, who would you trust to write your life?

Oooh, good question this week!

I think that now Harry’s sorted out the Voldemort issue, the world of Harry Potter could be a fun place to spend some time, certainly places like Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade or a quidditch game would be worth a visit, methinks!

I was going to say, Gaiman’s Neverwhere would be interesting, but I suspect probably a little to harsh a lifestyle as well, so staying with Gaiman, I think the land of Wall from Stardust could be a nice place to settle and put down some roots.

Places I’d not like to live? Well despite my love for the [intlink id="609" type="post"]books[/intlink], I suspect Australia during the war depicited in [intlink id="609" type="post"]The Tomorrow Series[/intlink] wouldn’t be the safest place to live, nor would fantasy lands such as, Middle Earth, Midkemia, or the Four Lands of Shannara.

Well, Rowling has a history of offing characters, so probably not her! I’d quite like to see what Terry Prattchet would come up with fo me to do, that could be fun!

[Don't forget you have until Saturday 9th August to win a copy of Xinran's Sky Burial [intlink id="820" type="post"]here![/intlink]]

I would avoid Harry Potter’s world; there are too many evil people running around there.
