3. Later, take whichever questions you like from your comments and use them in a post about each book. I’ll probably turn mine into a sort of interview-review. Link to each blogger next to that blogger’s question(s).

First the books synopsis:

Business has been slow. Okay, business has been dead. And not even of the undead variety. You would think Chicago would have a little more action for the only professional wizard in the phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn’t been able to dredge up any kind of work - magical or mundane. But just when it looks like he can’t afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise. A brutally mutilated corpse. Strange-looking paw prints. A full moon. Take three guesses - and the first two don’t count …

And now the questions!

Hmm, I don’t know anything about any of these, so I will just ask sequel questions about Fool Moon. Is this book part of an ongoing series, or are there just two books? If so, do you look forward to the next book? Was this book as good as the first?

Is this book part of an ongoing series, or are there just two books? The books certainly part of a series, the tenth book in the series, Small Favour was published in April of this year.

If so, do you look forward to the next book? I certainly do! But I’m being good and waiting for them to come up on bookmooch, (or at least on 3 for 2 at Waterstones )

Was this book as good as the first? If anything I think it was slightly better, with the security of knowing this was going to be a series, Butcher, was able to spend a little more time on world-building and rounding out the characters a little more, the whole thing felt a little more complex (still leave your brain at the first page action packed - but nevertheless - more complex)

I read Storm Front a while ago, but for some reason I never picked up Fool Moon. Actually, I think I did, but just never finished it.

What did you think of Butcher’s idea of werewolves? Why did you pick up this series in the first place?

Why did you pick up this series in the first place? I’d vaguely heard of the series before and seen the odd trailer for the TV series, so they were basically “In-my-radar” as-it-were. And when I spotted the new book, Small Favour being promoted in my local bookshop, I decided to give them a go.

What did you think of Butcher’s idea of werewolves? Well the only other literary werewolf, I’ve spent much time with is Remus Lupin, so I don’t have much to compare them too, but I thought the four types that he described added some nice variety to the myths and worked well with in his plot.
