Tuesday Thingers: Book-Swapping

Today’s topic: Book-swapping. Do you do it? What site(s) do you use? How did you find out about them? What do you think of them? Do you use LT’s book-swapping column feature for information on what to swap? Do you participate in any of the LT communities that discuss bookswapping, like the Bookmooch group for example?
Do I?!!!
I most certainly do! I’d almost class my usage of Bookmooch as an addiction. I’ve just crossed over the 100 mark on both books mooched and books given. I’ve found it invaluable in allowing me to try out new series and authors, that I’d not necessarily stump up cold-hard cash for at first, at least while other more desirable books are demanding attention.
That’s not to say I don’t mooch anything I can 
Bookmooch if the first port of call if there is a particular book I’m after, although as I said recently in this post, I’ve also found I’ve spent quite a bit more on books in ‘real’ bookshops this last 12 months, than previously as well.
A win-win situation all round really.
As for the LT commmunities, I can’t say I do, not really spent a great deal of time in thier forums at all really, spend most of my communtiy time reading blogs.
