The Timewaster Letters ~ Robin Cooper
Rating:

Synopsis
For several years, Robin Cooper has been plaguing department stores, hotels, associations, fan clubs and a certain children’s book publisher with his letters. From Prince Charles to the Peanut Council, Harrods to the British Halibut Association - no one is safe. So who is Robin Cooper? Architect, thimble designer, trampoline tester and wasp expert, Robin Cooper is all of these things - it just depends on the person he’s writing to…
Robin Cooper in ‘The Timewaster Letters’ sends a collection of silly, childish, or plain weird letters to various organiastions (usually obscure, although one or two well known corporations are made to suffer as well) to wind up those who receive them and hopefully illicit a response.
At odd times while reading this book I was throughly amused, however for the most part, the best I could say is that some of the letters were mildly amusing, some not even that. When I got the book I thought the concept could work, but in execution I tended to find the letters, and their construct to be repetitive. So all in all, while not as brilliantly funny as the reviews on the cover and I’ve seen elsewhere online would leave you to believe, it at least enjoyable and probably worth you looking at.
